It's been quite some time since we've released anything new. Part of that is just life being life, and part of it is this friction I've been feeling in the world at large…it's hard to describe, but it's been building some resistance specifically around the release of music for me, and ensuring that what I am putting out into the world truly has meaning.
Funny enough, the song I released today was the result of my working through this friction and resistance with someone who's become a close friend and frequent collaborator: Bill O'Hanlon. He and I were talking about the growing tension with the truth, the growing frequency of gaslighting as a conversation or debate tactic and the almost comfortable way people appear to be becoming very “flexible” with what should be simple fact…and all of a sudden we had a song spilling out of the conversation.
The topic is a little twisty and dark, but there's an abundance of hope mixed in because we both truly do feel that it is never too late to redeem oneself as an individual or ourselves collectively as a society and / or culture.
The song is called “Exit Wound” and I can't wait for you to hear it. I've started a conversation about what the truth means to each of us on our socials and I'd love for you to join in and share your perspectives there as well.
See you soon.
